Business Analyst - OUTSIDE IR35 - Edinburgh

We are hiring a Business Analyst on a contract basis, with a day rate up to £450 per day. The role is outside IR35 and is for one of our Edinburgh based public sector clients. This is a hybrid position, requiring occasional onsite work at the client’s location, with remote work flexibility. The initial contract runs from November 2024 to August 2025.
The Business Analyst will support the Business Bulletin project, aimed at improving production efficiency through a new service. You’ll work alongside a permanent BA in a SCRUM environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed Product Backlog Items (PBIs) and user stories.
- Document business rules and acceptance criteria.
- Manage the product backlog and ensure project delivery.
- Lead workshops and stakeholder updates.
- Collaborate with developers and testers to resolve issues.
- Communicate project risks and progress to the Project Manager.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Proficient in Visio, PowerPoint, and similar tools.
- Experience with backlog refinement and problem-solving.
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Testing experience, including writing test plans and UAT.
- Knowledge of UI/UX, Wire Framing, and User Stories.
