Markets Project Manager / CARAM Remediation

A Leading Financial Services business are looking to hire an experienced Project Manager, with specific knowledge around Regulatory Control Remediation.

  • £700 - £815 per day (Inside IR35/Umbrella or PAYE only)
  • The role is an initial 12 month contract with scope to roll into a couple of years
  • The role is a Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office, 2 from home)
  • Based in London, Canary Wharf

Key things to note

  • CARAM Remediation - Regulatory control remediation
  • Tier 1 regulations - 1 was assessed last year, missing or needing enhanced controls.
  • Long list of issues which need to be remediated; biggest is MiFID/MiFIR
  • This PM will get into the detail to drive remediation
  • Need to be a hybrid ideally in terms of background and experience
  • Lot of coordination and keep track of moving parts
  • Helpful to have MiFID/MiFIR background; Secondly Risk and Control
  • Being able to work independently
  • Knowledge of Markets and Products needed too - various product types

Profile Summary

  • Strong & proven track record in strategic project management and delivering complex solutions are essential
  • Has experience in implementing regulatory change across Markets
  • Significant experience in scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for strategic initiatives
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk & Control Managers, Product Owners, Front Office and Technology teams
  • Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
  • Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
  • Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs
  • A solid understanding of mechanisms to track and communicate progress
  • Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understand different perspectives
  • Thought leadership in target state design through engaging stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint

Other Beneficial Skills

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • MiFIR/MiFID experience
  • Experience in managing Risk and Control related projects
  • Relevant Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
  • Project Management certifications e.g. PMP or equivalent a strong plus
