Job Title: Tester
Location: Manchester (with some travel required)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), with flexible working options and hybrid arrangements
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tester to join our clients dynamic IT and Data team. As a Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients products meet both functional and non-functional requirements and maintain a high standard of quality. You will be part of an Agile team, collaborating with developers and business analysts to introduce new features and maintain existing platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing activities within a Scrum/Project team
- Uphold testing standards and the team's definition of done
- Collaborate to create acceptance criteria, test approaches, and scripts
- Participate in Agile Scrum processes and rituals
- Estimate test effort for features using story pointing
- Maintain and update existing automation test suites
- Document manual testing where automation is not possible
- Conduct non-functional tests (e.g., load, accessibility, browser compatibility)
- Investigate defects and assist with their resolution
- Provide feedback on test outcomes to product and development teams
- Continuously improve testing practices
- Support the organisation's sustainability aims and net zero plan
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
- Experience with large-scale enterprise CRM systems
- Proficient in test design and execution
- Familiarity with automation tools like Tosca, Postman, and Selenium
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with Siebel CRM, JIRA, SQL, and cloud-based systems
- Knowledge of load testing and cross-browser testing tools
