Hi, I'm Craig and I'm a Senior Consultant within the Contracts Team at Harvey Nash Scotland.&nbsp;
I have a wealth of experience working in Scottish Public Sector interim contract market and predominantly recruit for any roles within Business Analysis and Testing.

I graduated from Napier University with BA Hons in Popular Music and spent the next 15 years playing music professionally across the globe and latterly spent my days teaching in a few schools in Edinburgh before moving into the world of recruitment.&nbsp;I am happily married with two high octane children who keep us busy and entertained.
Outside of family and work life I run a small recording and rehearsal studio business in Edinburgh and still play music professionally with a few different bands and artists in Scotland.
The best piece of advice I've ever received and which I still live by is, "Every day is a learning day. You are never too old to learn something new."

This is a 'Second Line of Defence' role, reporting to the Head of Investment Risk, and will play a key part in assessing the risk profile of potential investments and ensuring robust governance throughout the investment process.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Independently assess investment opportunities through detailed analysis of equity and debt-related risks.</li><li>Develop strategies and templates to report risk data effectively and present insights to stakeholders.</li><li>Provide objective review and challenge to ensure risks are identified, mitigated, and monitored.</li><li>Conduct thematic reviews for new or evolving sectors and advise on risk implications.</li><li>Support the Investment Team in preparing submissions for Investment Committee from a risk perspective.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Strong background in managing debt and/or investments from a Second Line risk perspective within a regulated financial services environment.</li><li>Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide constructive challenge.</li><li>Knowledge of UK financial services regulations and governance frameworks.</li><li>Professional qualifications such as ACIB, CA, CFA or similar are highly desirable.</li></ul>This role is INSIDE IR35 and requires an up to date Disclosure Check.
