Harvey Nash Group host International Women’s Day Virtual Conference
To celebrate International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8th March, Harvey Nash Group are hosting their first ever Virtual Conference, which supports this year’s theme - #BreakTheBias.
The conference has a full line up of brilliant speakers from both within the Group and from its clients, partners and connections. Although the conference is scheduled from 9am GMT to 6pm GMT, you can select which particular sessions you’d like to join.
The full schedule for the day is featured below. Highlights include a panel discussing modern parenting, the importance of male allyship and a meditation session, so you can recover your balance. It's free for all to attend and we hope you can help Break the Bias and drive gender equality.

9:00am | MeToo - though it has come from the West as a movement, India has seen cases being reported based on the experiences of people and response of the concerned departments dealing with these cases. The Act on PREVENTION PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE - ACT 2013, is the central point to deal with MeToo as well. Geeta Goti is one of the few professionals worked since year 2000 on Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace under the Vishaka Guidelines directed by Supreme Court much before the Act was passed in 2013. |
10:00am | Modern Parenting - Panel – Moderated by Elli Fruehwirth The pandemic has changed the way we look at work-life and how we balance responsibilities such as child care. Hear from our panel as they share their experiences of modern parenting. Guests include; Jan Monhof- is an Experienced Manager in the IT Solution industry. He is married with two kids, enjoys traveling and spending time with the family. For both his kids, he decided to take a break from his work life to be fully present in his role as a parent. 12 noon | Women In Tech - Panel – Moderated by David Savage With a worsening skills shortage across the sector, it’s never been more critical to attract individuals to a career in technology. So why are we failing to raise female participation in the sector? What can schools, parents and business do? Is a wholesale rethink of what constitutes a career in tech both overdue and part of the solution? Guests include; Rhona Carmichael-Managing Director, UK North & Ireland Harvey Nash Ca’dene Sheikh- A business analyst apprentice at Crimson. I really enjoy learning and improving my technical skills whilst ensuring good client relations. Helena Gagern- Entrepreneur First Helena is a member of the 17th cohort at Entrepreneur First. She is passionate about technology and breaking gender stereotypes that persist across the sector. Previously she’s been a software teaching assistant at Le Wagon, and a Product Manager at Anaplan. However she’s keen to lead her own business and tackle the issues she sees head on. Pardeep Cassells- Access Fintech is focused on the creation and rollout of new products for the finance sector against the core AccessFintech platform. Before joining AccessFintech, Par’s experience was predominately in outsourced middle office operations where she gained cross-product experience in operational, relationship management, and project management roles. David Savage- I make podcasts, host video debates, speak and moderate at conferences, and chair key-note stages. I love technology but want to talk about the challenges it presents. Owner of marketing agency, Bloom, and host of the Time to Bloom podcast. Christian Umbs- I was brought up by my mother, accompanied by 3 sisters. I am a father of 2 daughters (9 & 12 years). Having worked in the specialized recruiting/ staffing industry for about 22 years, I joined HN on 1st June 21 as Regional Managing Director for Central Europe. Reporting to our CEO Bev White was one of the reasons why I joined Harvey Nash. In the last 20 years since I have been in leadership positions, it has always been very important to me to support women in their development on an equal footing. Rana Bhattacharya- is the recently appointed Director of Engineering at Tesco Bank, joining from Atom Bank where his role as CTO was recognised by Computing as one of the top 250 IT Leaders in 2019 and one of the top 100 leaders in Fintech by Fintech Magazine in 2021. Rana is passionate about diversity in the workplace, has been involved with the Technology Talent Charter as early as 2017 and has chaired of a government / employer committee that looking to increase women in technology Jason Pyle- President, Harvey Nash USA Heather Byron- Customer Success Director at NashTech. She has been with the Harvey Nash Group since 2020 and comes from a background in Management Consulting, where she has spent 25+ years working with the Big-4 consultancies across a number of FTSE-500 businesses. |
