Project Support Officer
Central Birmingham, Hybrid 2 days per week
£32 - 35k plus excellent pension and benefits
This is initially a 12 month fixed term contract but is highly likely to convert to a permanent role at the end of this period.
This is a great programme of work, focused on both technology implementation and business change across the organisation. You will be getting in at the start of this transformation programme, providing the project support with Programme and Project Managers. Although a FTC for 12 months the programme is scheduled to run for years and the role will be highly likely to go permanent. There will also be opportunities to quickly progress as the team grows.
You be working with the management team coordinating project teams, working groups and programme governance to ensure the correct people are involved in the project groups and that key programme time-lines are on track.
Under the guidance of the Project Team you will be establishing and updating project documentation (plans, business cases, risk register etc.), so it will be essential that you have worked in a established PMO, with the experience of how the documentation relates to the flow of a large technology programme. Qualification (or working toward) in Project Management (Prince2, PMP etc.) would be highly desirable.
Along with excellent communication skills you will need to be independent and highly organised. This is an agile role coordinating and reporting on dependencies, risks, issues and milestones across a complex programme.
