The Role:
- Leadership: Lead, mentor and inspire a team of talented software engineers across .Net and Java, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strategy: Develop and implement the software engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Development: Oversee the design, development and deployment of software solutions, maintaining best practices and high standards.
- Collaboration: Partner with product management, design and other stakeholders to define and prioritise features and enhancements.
- Quality: Ensure the delivery of high-quality software through rigorous testing, code reviews and performance optimisation.
Who You'll Be:
- Experienced Leader: Proven track record of leading and managing software engineering teams, with a deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Technical Expert: Strong technical skills with proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to see the big picture and develop long-term strategies that align with business objectives.
- Drive the technology architecture forward, leveraging the expertise of Senior & Principal Engineers and Solutions Architects.
- Problem Solver: Skilled at identifying and solving complex problems, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
This role is based in Newcastle or London and has hybrid working flexibility.
