Reg Project Manager - Client Communications Lead

A Leading Financial Services business are looking to hire an experienced Project Manager, with specific experience in Client Communications and leading teams/projects.

  • £800 - £875 per day (Inside IR35/Umbrella or PAYE only)
  • The role is an initial 12 month contract with scope to roll into a couple of years
  • The role is a Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office, 2 from home)
  • Based in London, Canary Wharf

Client Outreach Project Manager and Communications Lead

  • 'Big 4 background / prior consulting experience preferred
  • Risk and controls experience preferred
  • Project Management

Key Things to note on the opportunity;

  • Work with Business Management and Sales and Front Office
  • Very much the client side of the regulation; good stakeholder management, know reg very well
  • Controls Background
  • Attention to detail, sending a lot of comms and outreach; therefore cannot have mistakes
  • Need to be good and knowledgeable with data
  • All Capital Markets Regs
  • Need core experience of working on different regulations - not focused in just one area.
  • Would consider a Programme Manager, but needs someone to get stuck in - excel etc. Not someone who is 'directing traffic' - it is a true execution role.
  • Don't necessarily need the Communication/Outreach experience; if have worked with Sales or clients - would work well.
  • Management - don't need this, could just be in a matrix environment - but need to be able to do this.
  • Evidence of coaching junior BA's, not Management, 4 new BA's will be making this team up

Role Overview

  • End-to end project management of the outreach process for key regulatory and compliance initiatives across Markets
  • Client facing role working closely with Front Office stakeholders to effectively engage high priority Clients and ensure regulatory requirements are met whilst maintaining high levels of customer experience
  • Deliver high quality irrespective of volume of outreach - ensuring processes / controls are followed and enhancing processes/controls as required
  • Develop a strong understanding of client static data at Citi including sourcing/maintenance processes and control procedures
  • Ability to used software and tools effectively to deliver outreach and manage client communications at scale
  • Oversee client and internal mailbox and be key point of escalation for initial triage team
  • Manage team of junior resources delivering BA activities
  • Capable of understanding and summarizing regulatory rulesets and their applicability to Markets products (e.g. derivatives, business loans, structured notes etc.) working with key legal, compliance and business stakeholders
  • Ensure the operational aspects of outreached are well maintained and controlled e.g. evidencing of outreach
  • Effective management of milestones and timelines

Key Skills

  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge of the financial markets, risk and controls, and a working knowledge of key regulatory initiatives impacting Markets
  • Big 4 / consulting background preferred
  • Strong business analysis i.e.: need to demonstrate how in their prior role(s) they are self-starting and self-directed, being able to take complex information, organize into structured and logical way and distil into high quality work products under tight timeframes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, ability to confidently liaise cross all key stakeholders and present at all levels of management
  • Attention to detail, ensuring deliverables meet Citi PMO and audit requirements
  • Team player, ability to coach team members
  • Solid project management and organizational skills e.g. planning, risk / issue management, delivery
  • Strong excel skills
