Job Description:

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for executing various tasks within the strategic plan for managed accounts. Your primary duties will include identifying customer needs, implementing campaigns or products, optimizing campaigns, promoting product adoption, expanding accounts, and maintaining core account hygiene, all while working under the guidance of an Account Executive or Senior Account Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account and Campaign Proposals: Assist in the creation of small, account- and campaign-specific proposals by translating customer objectives into KPIs. Select appropriate Google ad solutions based on KPIs and collaborate with internal stakeholders to conduct research for proposals.
  • Building Pitches: Help craft and deliver solutions to customers and agencies to achieve business objectives, contributing to revenue growth.
  • Campaign Development and Launch: Contribute to campaign development, ensuring campaigns are prepared for launch and deployed properly. Advise on continuous improvement opportunities for campaign performance.
  • Campaign Optimization: Execute tasks to optimize campaigns based on customer KPIs to promote long-term growth. Support internal collaboration to expedite campaign optimization.
  • Customer and Portfolio Management: Help build and maintain strong customer relationships, working towards mutual business objectives and driving high-impact, long-lasting partnerships.
  • Learning Product Knowledge: Gain a basic understanding of Google products and the competitive landscape through required training and resources.
  • Opportunity Sizing: Support in identifying revenue and growth opportunities within the market and customer base, driving sales growth and marketing efficiency.
  • Sales Analytics: Contribute to the analysis of internal and external data, sharing insights with cross-functional teams to structure and execute data-driven recommendations.
  • Sales Forecasting: Assist in reviewing revenue performance and projections, providing updates on opportunities to keep stakeholders informed and mitigate risks.
  • Sales Strategy Development and Implementation: Help identify customer objectives and assist in setting sales strategies for specific markets. Execute tasks related to the implementation of sales strategies in collaboration with internal teams.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Consumer Behaviour: Knowledge of consumer behaviour and how it informs product strategy, program design, and sales cycles.
  • Customer Conversations: Ability to engage in meaningful conversations using open, closed, and leading questions to understand customer needs, desires, and motivations.
  • Data-Driven Analysis and Reporting: Ability to combine technical and financial data to position Google products effectively and create a competitive advantage.
  • Advertising Knowledge: Familiarity with digital advertising, including various ad formats, platforms, and products. Ability to optimize campaigns and provide insights to customers to meet goals and KPIs.
  • Persuasion Skills: Ability to influence partners, customers, and stakeholders to gain commitment to Google products or solutions using data and storytelling methods.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to positively influence decision-makers within customer organizations to secure buy-in for proposed products and services.

Education and Experience:

  • Relevant experience in digital advertising, account management, or sales roles.
  • A basic understanding of Google products and services is preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
