Firewall Engineer - Cloud Implementation
A Leading Financial Services firm are looking to hire an experienced Firewall Engineer, ideally who has knowledge of supporting application moves to the cloud and compartmentation of network segmentation and policies on Cloud and On-Prem.
- £550 - £650 per day (Inside IR35 - Umbrella)
- Hybrid working environment; plenty of remote work
- 12 month initial contract (significant scope to roll)
Project Description
- Application Security Policy Implementation
- Implementing Micro-Segmentation security using NSX-T as part of Zero Trust Architecture
- Defining the process for applying FW policies.
- Validate these processes by conducting a proof of concept on apps migrated to the Cloud.
Role Description
Supporting applications moves to the cloud and compartmentation of network segmentation and policies on Cloud and On-Prem. Provide FW Engineer consultation and support to the project team during the process:
- Define firewall policies for core services.
- Apply firewall policies to core services.
- Define firewall policies for applications.
- Apply firewall policies to applications. Support hyper care period. Support handover of FW policy management structures to app teams.
Firewall Engineer will work within a small team focused on the a defined number of applications which have been migrated to the cloud landing zone.
Must Have Skills:
Technical expertise installing and configuring Network Security environments and tools (Fortinet, UTM Technologies, NSX-T DFW) - (Azure NSG Firewall, VPN Gateways) Beneficial Skills Certifications
- Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE 5+) or equivalent experience.
- CCNP * AZ-700 MS Azure Network Engineer Associate
- Network Automation experience
- Scripting and API understanding would be beneficial
