Network Security L2/L3 Administrator
We are looking for experienced Network Security L2 and L3 Administrators for a 6 month contract with possible extension. This customer-facing role requires strong technical expertise and communication skills, working with cutting-edge networking technologies in a dynamic, high-impact environment. The successful candidate will need to be on site 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues (OSI layers 1-7).
Monitor network performance and respond to incidents.
Support and manage Cisco WLAN Controllers, SSIDs, and Access Points.
Implement and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, NAT policies, and security protocols.
Configure and troubleshoot routing & switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, etc.).
Maintain LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks.
Administer DNS, IPAM, DHCP, and F5 LTM (SSL, iRules, patches).
Conduct proactive network analysis and apply patches/firmware updates.
Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and manage major incidents.
Skills & Experience:
Must-Have:
Expertise in F5 LTM, DNS/DHCP, and IPAM.
Certifications: CCNP, CCSA, F5 Certificate.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with Cisco Meraki, AWS Networking, Cisco ISE & Security.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools like BIG IQ, SolarWinds, and ThousandEyes.
Work Pattern:
L2 Admins: On-site 24x7 shift coverage.
L3 Admins: On-site during UK business hours, on-call (rota) outside business hours.
